95th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Air Force

On 28 march 2018 Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare)  celebrated 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Italian Air Force .

The Italian Air Force  was founded on 28 March 1923, by King Victor Emmanuel III as the Regia Aeronautica (which equates to “Royal Air Force”). After World War II, when Italy was made a republic by referendum the name was changed to its current name Aeronautica Militare

Today Italian Air Force operate one of the most advanced  fighter jets in the world e.g Eurofighter Typhoon and F35
