Flight LCB1323, a DHC-8-Q402 operated by LC Perú en route to Ayacucho returned to land at Lima-Jorge Chávez International Airport in Peru after the nose landing gear failed to deploy. A nose gear-up landing was performed on runway 15.
There were 59 passengers and 5 crew members on board, according to the airline.

Landing operations at Jorge Chavez Airport remain closed after a plane from the airline LC Peru had to land emergency due to problems with the landing gear.

All passengers and crew were evacuated safely. However, air traffic entering and leaving Jorge Chávez airport will remain canceled until 9:00 PM while the authorities carry out their investigations, according to Lima Airport Partners (LAP), operator of the air terminal.

The plane had as destination the city of Ayacucho , but it had to return to Lima, due to this technical difficulty.

The company has not provided an official communication and only indicates as a response in social networks that the emergency landing is an “incident that escaped from its sphere of control.”

They mention that they appreciate the maneuver of the pilot who managed to control the situation. “We will be aware of the investigations and the respective communiqué will be issued”, they detail.
