Five Killed in an Afghan National Army Helicopter crash In Farah. The helicopter crashed as a result of a technical malfunction and caught fire on impact. All five occupants died in the crash.
At least five Afghan National Army soldiers, including two pilots, were killed when an ANA chopper crashed in Farah province, local officials said Saturday.
The crash happened on Friday night at about 9 pm in Khaksafid district of Farah province
Pajhwok quoted Dadullah Qaneh, a member of the provincial council, as saying the crash happened in Ranng village.
He said the helicopter was heading to Farah from 207th Zafar Military Corps when it crash due to technical problems.

He said the chopper — heading to Farah from the 207thZafar Military Corps — went down due to technical problems. However, the public representative gave no further details.
On the other hand, the Taliban claimed shooting down the rotorcraft. Pajhwok tried to contact the 2nd brigade of the army based in Farah but failed.
