Actor Jennifer Connelly has praised Hollywood star Tom Cruise for his driving skills after they recreated the iconic motorcycle scene from Top Gun for the sequel.
The 48-year-old actress revealed her enthusiasm for the movie as she told Jimmy Kimmel : ‘It’s awesome. This one, if you liked the first one, you’re going to love this one,’
When Kimmel said we would ‘never’ get on a motorcycle with infamous daredevil Cruise, Jennifer gushed of his skills.
‘He has skills, I mean we all know he has skills – he’s a great actor,’ she said of the 56-year-old.
“That was a fast motorcycle. He is an excellent driver. I was marvelling at it actually because we had this scene. We were doing that and we raced down the street and we pull up at the house that’s supposed to be my house (in the film) and, like, not once was it even half of an inch off.
“Every time it (would) zoom down the street and then stop perfectly exactly on the mark. He’s got skills! For sure,” Connelly told Entertainment Tonight.
Jennifer promised the sequel will have a ‘sexy’ theme song to follow the original’s Take My Breath Away, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
She said: ‘It’s still filming and I have a little bit more to do. It’s so much fun! There is definitely going to be a sexy theme song, but I can’t tell you what.’
Top Gun: Maverick is expected to hit theaters in June 2020.
