A Russian Air Force Ilyushin Il-22M-11 was allegedly shot down in the Voronezh Region by members of the Wagner group. All eight occupants died in the crash.
A video of the fall of a burning aircraft was published on social media.
The tail number of the lost aircraft is RA-75917 and it is an Il-22М11 air-borne command post aircraft, which is essentially an air command post of the Russian army.
The cause of the crash is unknown for certain.
On the territory of the Voronezh region, there is an internal Russian confrontation between the rebel mercenaries of the PMC Wagner and the military units of the Russian Armed Forces controlled by Moscow.
