Mig-31 Engine caught fire at an airfield in Russia’s Permsky Krai

 

On 18 may, 2018 a right engine of Mig-31 jet has been caught on fire at an airfield in Russia’s Permsky Krai

Fortunately, both pilots are saved and no one was injured

Firefighters responded on time and have extinguished the fire

“The pilots were about to conduct a training flight, but the aircraft was caught on fire while entering a flight strip,”

The MiG-31 is the supersonic interceptor aircraft  and  was developed during the 1970s

It was by the Mikoyan design bureau
