Indian Air Force vice chief accidentally shoots himself. The vice chief of Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Marshal S B Deo, is understood to have accidentally shot himself in his thigh.
Sources said on Wednesday that he was rushed to a military hospital in Delhi where he underwent a surgery. His condition is stable.
However, there was no official comment on the incident from the IAF. He had taken over as vice chief of the Air Staff in January 2017.

Air Force sources say he has suffered a minor injury and was rushed to the military hospital on Wednesday.
The vice chief reportedly injured himself while he was keeping his pistol aside after returning from office.
Sources said the accidental fire took place as he was keeping his pistol on the side table. Following this, he was taken to the hospital and treated upon. He is expected to be released soon. His condition is learned to be stable.
Meanwhile, the Air Force hasn’t issued any statement in this regards so far.
