Four dead in Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk crash in Argelia, Cauca – Colombia. The helicopter crashed under unknown circumstances. It was flying in support of anti-narcotics activities.

A black hawk helicopter from the Army Aviation fell to the ground while carrying out an operation against drug trafficking in the rural area of Algeria, Cauca.

The aircraft, in which four crew members were traveling, lost contact after leaving a group of soldiers assigned to the Army Anti-Narcotics Brigade in the area.

It is still unknown if the helicopter would have fallen to the ground as a result of mechanical failure. In the aircraft, with license plate EJC 2166, four crewmen were traveling: Major Pedro Ignacio Granados, Captain Edson Quintero, Second Sergeant Ramiro Santos, and First Corporal Eduardo Ruiz. The entire crew was found dead.
