Turkey armed forces have started operation Operation Ramo de Oliveira, a massive cross-border action aimed at “cleaning up” the Syrian city of Afrin from the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), which Ankara regards as a terrorist group and an extension of the banned Turkish Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
During that operation, the Turkish air force is targeting residential quarters of the northern city of Afrin which have resulted in the killing of seven civilians, and more than 3o people are injured.
