A man on board a Ryanair flight was restrained after he attempted to hit a stewardess with a fire extinguisher and open one of the aircraft’s doors as he was screaming threats to “kill every single one,” of the passengers and crew, the British tabloid reported on Saturday.
He was threatening passengers and cabin crew on board with a fire extinguisher. He also tried to open the door mid-flight and lashed out at women on the plane
Passengers held him down for 45 minutes as he shouted he would kill everyone. Police arrested the man when the plane arrived and he was banned by Ryanair
A video showing the shocking moment has emerged online. As can be heard in the footage, the troublesome passenger also made threats to burn flyers’ houses down.
The man was said to have been detained by Spanish police soon as the plane landed in Gran Canaria and has now been banned from flying with Ryanair indefinitely.
A spokesperson for Ryanair said: “The crew of this flight from Manchester to Gran Canaria on May 4 requested police assistance upon landing after a passenger became disruptive mid-flight.
“The safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.
“This passenger has been banned from flying with Ryanair again and this is now a matter for local police.”
