Brigadier General Jamal bin Amer, one of the LNA’s top pilots, was killed in the crash involving MiG-21bis #698 (same MiG as the earlier parade low pass video).

He had previously survived a MANPADS shoot down over Tripoli while flying a MiG-21 in April 2019.

Earlier in the month, an Indian Air Force (IAF) MiG-21 jet had crashed in the state of Punjab, killing the pilot, the IAF said.

The aircraft was on a routine training sortie when the accident happened in Langeana village of Moga.
