Yema is a French watchmaking company based in Besançon, France. Since the 1970s, French watchmaker YEMA has worked in partnership with the French Air Force, supplying the military branch with high-performance timepieces to assist them in their operations.

Now officially renewing their partnership, the brand has created a limited edition Superman timepiece designed for both the sea and the air.

Offered in a wide array of options, the new Superman comes in both a stainless steel version and a black PVD finish, both with corresponding bracelets.

Two sizes of each are also offered, going from a classic 39mm case to a more modernized 41mm size.

Equipped with a hybrid bezel which can be secured via a locking mechanism, the watches carry a high contrast dial emblematic of military timepieces, featuring clean white indices and hands on a black background.

A red dot demarcates the second’s hand, giving a dash of color along with the “ARMEE DE L’AIR” inscription and the French Air Force emblem acting as the 6 o’clock index as well as being signed on the crown.

Both editions come in either quartz or automatic configurations, the latter holding an in-house MPB1000 movement holding a power reserve of 45 hours. Completing the watch is a second black pilot canvas strap.

Limited to just 1948 units per model (which represents the year YEMA was founded), all variations of the Superman French Air Force Limited Edition will be available for pre-order April 20, with prices ranging from $500 USD to $1,200 USD.
