1.Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 defection

On  September 21, 1953,No Kum-soka former lieutenant of the North Korean air force stole Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 from Sunan just outside Pyongyang and landed it to the Kimpo Air Base in South Korea

Operation Moolah was the name of operation and its aim was to obtain through defection a fully capable Soviet MiG-15 jet fighter

2.Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 Defection

In 1964 an Iraqi Air force Christian  pilot Munir Redfa stole a MIG 21 from Iraq Air force and landed it in a Airbase in israel .

Operation Diamond  was the operation and it was undertaken by the Mossad. Its goal was the acquisition of a Soviet-built Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21, the most advanced Soviet fighter plane at that time.

3. Mig-25 Defection

On 6 September 1976,Viktor Belenko a former russian Pilot stole a MiG-25 ‘Foxbat’ jet fighter aircraft and landed it in a civilian Airport in  Hakodate, Japan .

In 1980, the U.S. Congress enacted S. 2961, authorizing citizenship for Belenko.
