PAF Mirage III Fighter Jet Crashes in Sargodha

A Pakistan Air Force Dassault Mirage 5 ROSE III fighter jet crashed during a routine training flight near 104 Chak in Sargodha.

According to initial reports, the plane crashed shortly after takeoff.

The pilot managed to eject safely and escaped unhurt.

The aircraft was part of No. 27 “Zarrar” Squadron of the 32nd Tactical Attack Wing.

Authorities are yet to reveal the exact cause of the crash.

The Mirage 5 ROSE III (Retrofit of Strike Element) is part of the PAF’s modernized Mirage fleet, which has been upgraded with modern avionics and strike capabilities to extend the aircraft’s service life.

Although based on an older French design, the upgraded Mirages are a vital component of the air force’s attack and reconnaissance missions.
