PAF T-37 Trainer Jet Crashes Near Mardan

A Pakistan Air Force Cessna T-37 Tweet trainer jet crashed under unknown circumstances near Mardan.

It was not clear whether any casualty occurred in the incident.

“A board of Inquiry has been ordered to investigate the cause of the accident,” said the spokesperson.

The crash took place near Mardan district, some 47 kilometers (30 miles) from Peshawar, capital of the northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that borders neighboring Afghanistan.

“A small PAF aircraft has crashed near Mardan during a routine training mission,” a PAF statement said.

There was no immediate cause cited for the crash.
