Sri Lanka Air Force Cessna 150L Trainer Aircraft Makes Emergency Landing At Irakkandi

A SLAF Cessna 150L, belonging to the 1 Flying Training Wing, made an emergency landing near the Nilaveli beach, Trincomalee. Both pilots were unhurt.

The SLAF said that the plane took off from the China Bay air force base in Trincomalee at around 10.22 this morning and landed at around 10.48 this morning.

They said the pilots were able to avert an accident and the aircraft and both pilots were safe.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana has instructed the relevant authorities to conduct further investigations into the incident.
