Indian Air Force Mi-17 Helicopter Crash Lands in Arunachal Pradesh

An Indian Air Force Mil Mi-17 helicopter crashed while landing in a rural area near Rochham in Arunachal Pradesh. All five occupants survived the crash.

The helicopter was carrying out a maintenance sortie from Hayuliang to Rochham when the incident took place. A court of inquiry will be ordered to ascertain the reasons for the incident, sources said.

In September, two pilots were killed when an army helicopter crash-landed on a hill in Shiv Garh Dhar area near Patnitop tourist resort in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The month before, two pilots were killed after an Army helicopter crashed at Ranjit Sagar Dam lake near Pathankot.
