One dead after plane crash in Collegedale Municipal Airport in Hamilton County, Tennessee
According to Chris Swain, director of the Collegedale Municipal Airport, one person has died after a plane crash on the runway.
The plane with a single-seater and it was taking off when it crashed.
The person involved in the fatal event has not yet been identified.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board have been made aware of the incident and are on the way to the scene.
Police say the crash happened around 6:30 pm near 5100 Bess Moore Road.
It is understood that this is not the first plane crash to happen at Collegedale Municipal Airport.
