A Ukraine Air Force MiG-29 fighter crashed, allegedly shot down in a friendly fire incident.
According to the sources the MiG-29 fighter crashed near Kurakhove. The exact location: east of Ostrivs’ke (Острівське), Donetsk Oblast at 48.000955, 37.364313.
Reportedly the jet is shot down by the Ukrainian Osa AD system.
It is unclear when exactly the aircraft was destroyed, but the first aerial photo of the wreck was posted on 7 January 2023.
While it was announced that the plane crashed as a result of friendly fire, no information was given about the pilot whether he was dead or injured.
