Here are the Two Videos of MiG-29 Catches Fire on Takeoff
The below video shows a Belarusian Air Force MiG-29BM Fulcrum that caught fire on take off from Bobruisk on Feb. 27, 2017.
The footage seems to show a collapse of the landing gear and the fighter jet streaking down the runway.
An uncommanded retraction that caused the aircraft to fall on the runway sparking a fire.

The flames start to erupt from MIG-29 tail end. The cockpit lid is then seen being flipped off and the pilot ejects, his seat blasting high into the air.
The pilot was able to successfully eject from the aircraft.

The Mikoyan MiG-29 is a twin-engine jet fighter aircraft designed in the Soviet Union.
Developed by the Mikoyan design bureau as an air superiority fighter during the 1970s, the MiG-29, along with the larger Sukhoi Su-27, was developed to counter new U.S. fighters such as the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle and the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon.
Having flown fighters (F-18’s and F-16’s) for over 25 years I’d say that he probably intended to perform a low transition and raised the gear a little too early!
