Iranian Navy Released Footage of Royal Navy destroyer chased down by IRGCN fast attack boats

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGCN) released a video, which showed the British Type-45 destroyer HMS Duncan being pursued by IRGCN fast attack boats.

The video reveals a warship sailing in the distance while a group of smaller boats armed with machine guns follow behind at some distance.

The low-quality video, whose authenticity has not been verified yet, shows a warship sailing in the distance while several small boats keep following it.

According to experts ,the warship shown in the video is HMS Duncan. This particular warship has been in the Strait of Hormuz for the past few weeks amid ongoing tensions between the US-UK bloc and Iran.

British Navy warships are now trying to guard all British shipping sailing through the waterway after Iran seized the tanker Stena Impero.

However, viewers on social media quickly disputed the claim that the ship identified in the video was not HMS Duncan.

It is now believed that the IRGC mistook a UAE Baynunah-class ship for a British navy ship.

Conflict News Worldwide, which tweeted the video, posted a correction of the clip.

CNW tweeted: “IRGC obviously have an information failure as they thought it was a British vessel, looks like they chased a random warship instead.”

HMS Duncan has been in the Strait of Hormuz for the past few weeks amid ongoing tensions between Britain and Iran.

The HMS Duncan’s deployment to the Strait was accelerated amid a growing hostility between the two powers.

Costing over £1billion per ship, the ship’s vessels are equipped with missiles, a 4.5-inch naval gun, marines and can carry two helicopters.

The destroyer has been hailed as the world’s best air defence ship, and is the backbone of the Royal Navy.

  1. Maybe the incompetent Iranian government can photoshop the picture the way they did when they infamously edited a picture of a missile launch.

They hilariously added more missiles to the picture and it was obvious that they crudely copied and pasted the extra missiles.

Send them your graphics. John Kerry would appreciate your support…

  2. Yes, the British navy were chased by skiffs with machine guns , hugely scary, obviously iran is a huge navy threat, I hear they are training camels to swim with explosive vests attached to them.
