Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-24M Bomber Aircraft Fell Into A Ditch During Transportation Via Road

A Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-24M bomber aircraft fell into a ditch during transportation via road.

The front-line bomber Su-24M found itself in a roadside ditch after an accident near the village of Anuchino, Primorsky Territory. 

The plane was transported in tow along the Osinovka – Rudnaya Pristan route.

There is not any official information from the military about the accident.

The plane was on its way to being repaired or scrapped. The plan was transporting without a keel and tail, with the wings removed.

The Sukhoi Su-24 is a supersonic, all-weather attack aircraft developed in the Soviet Union. The aircraft has a variable-sweep wing, twin-engines and a side-by-side seating arrangement for its crew of two.

It was the first of the USSR’s aircraft to carry an integrated digital navigation/attack system.
