Trump Says USAF F-35 Pilots Are Better Looking Than Tom Cruise & With Better Bodies

U.S. President Donald Trump says F-35 pilots are “better looking than Tom Cruise and with better bodies.”

“You’ve got to see them,” the Republican leader told a crowd of supporters at Battle Creek rally in Michigan discussing a meeting with U.S. Air Force (USAF) personnel.

“They’re just like central casting” he added, referencing a Hollywood talent agency used by the president benchmark for beauty.

He told the audience at the rally: “We have the F-35s – it’s a stealth – and I was at one of the areas where they’re displaying it and I went up to the pilots and, honestly, they’re better looking than Tom Cruise”.

“Good movie,” he said, in an apparent reference to Top Gun. “Good guy, too by the way.”

This particular part of Trump’s rally speech happened at the exact moment the House of Representatives was approving the first articles of impeachment for alleged abuse of power, The New York Times reported.

This is not the first time Trump has expressed an interest in having warfighters that are “better looking than Tom Cruise.”

During his first cabinet meeting of the year, Trump said: “When I became president, I had a meeting at the Pentagon with lots of generals. They were like from a movie, better-looking than Tom Cruise — and stronger.”

Cruise stars in a long-awaited sequel set to be released in summer 2020 and will be flying an F/A-18 Super Hornet — not an F-35C Lightning II.

Tom Cruise returns as Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, now a flight school instructor whose talents and exploits are a legend.

One of his students is Lt. Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), a pilot trainee and son of the late Nick “Goose” Bradshaw (Anthony Edwards).

This new adventure sees Maverick working as test pilot and training a fresh group of Top Gun graduates. He also encounters Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), who’s the son of his late friend Goose.

A little more than two minutes long, the spot for the Paramount Pictures’ film is packed full of action and, of course, some motorcycle riding.

In addition to Cruise, the movie stars Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer, who reprises his memorable role of Ice Man.

Top Gun: Maverick flies into theaters on June 26, 2020.
