Aerobell Airlines Piper PA-34-220T Seneca III plane Crashes in Costa Rica

Aerobell Airlines Piper PA-34-220T Seneca III plane Crashes 3 miles south of Cerro Burrito, La Fortuna de San Carlos, Alajuela – Costa Rica

The aircraft crashed 3 miles from San Francisco de la Fortuna, Alajuela, Costa Rica. The pilot was fatally injured.

The pilot name is Mario Delgado

The plane left this morning from Pavas in the direction of El Tanque in San Carlos.

Preliminarily it is reported that the aircraft belongs to the company Aerobell Air Charter Costa Rica .

“About 2 miles from where we are located, we received a strong ELT signal. The problem we have is that the cloudiness does not allow us to climb to the hills , where if the aircraft was sinister it is likely that it was. We can not fly over the area, we are waiting for the weather to improve. We can not confirm anything, “said a manager of Air Evac to the regional news Fortuna .

An ELT signal is issued when an aircraft has a fault and an accident. It sends probes that are captured by the control towers and the equipment of the authorities.

For its part, the Ministry of Public Safety confirmed that the Air Surveillance Service (SVA) collaborates with the operations and maintains overflights in the sector.
