Afghan National Army Mil Mi-17 Helicopter Crashes in Nangarhar Killing Two

The Afghan military Mil Mi-17 crashed upon takeoff. Two crew members died and another two were injured.

The crash happened due to technical issues as the helicopter was taking off in Hesarak district, MoD said in a statement.

Last night around 12:00 a.m., an AAF helicopter crashed while taking off in Hesarak district of Nangarhar Prov. due to technical issues.

Unfortunately, a flight crew and one ANP member were martyred and 2 others were wounded as a result of the incident

Ataullah Khogyani, a spokesman for Nangarhar governor, said that it was a Mi-17 helicopter that crashed.
