Brazilian Air Force T-25 Universal Trainer Plane With Two Pilots Missing in Tijucas

A trainer plane with two pilots of the Brazilian Air Force is missing in Tijucas, Florianópolis. Search operations are being conducted.

The Fire Department is searching for a Brazilian Air Force (FAB) plane that lost its signal in the Tijucas region , in Florianópolis , on the afternoon of this Friday.

The disappearance was confirmed by the FAB, which said in a statement that it was searching for two military personnel who were on board and were on a training flight.

The Air Force Academy (AFA) T-25 Universal plane is the model that disappeared.

“The Curitiba Aeronautical Rescue Coordination Center coordinates the search operations. A C-105 Amazonas aircraft and an FAB H-36 Caracal helicopter were called to carry out searches and are moving to the region. A helicopter from the Fire Department Santa Catarina is already working to locate the aircraft”, says a statement from the FAB.

The Air Force Academy’s T-25 training aircraft is from Pirassununga , São Paulo, according to Lossa, and has a maximum capacity of two people on board. The disappearance occurred 30 miles north of Florianópolis (48 km), as G1 found out from sources at the Air Force.

    The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) regrets to inform the death of the two soldiers who were aboard the T-25 Universal aircraft of the Air Force Academy (AFA) – crashed this Friday afternoon (04/11) in Santa Catarina and located late Saturday morning (05/11). The crew performed a training flight.
    The Air Force Command expresses its condolences and emphasizes that it is providing all the support to the family at this time of sorrow. It also informs that it will investigate the accident.
