The head of Sedena specified that the accident occurred while fumigation operations were carried out in enervating plantations.
A UH60 helicopter was immediately deployed with medical personnel in search and rescue functions, as well as two motorized ground reaction forces, to assist in the location and relief activities and it is reported that the injured elements were already transferred to receive hospital care .
The aircraft carried out fumigation work on drug plantations, but due to a mechanical failure in the engines they had to make an emergency landing, not being able to land safely, as it collapsed.
