Pakistan Army Aviation Helicopter Carrying Out Casualty Evacuation Crashed In Gilgit-Baltistan Killing All Four Crew Members

The Pakistan military helicopter transporting the body of a deceased soldier, crashed under unknown circumstances. All four crew members died in the crash.

“The helicopter was evacuating body of shaheed (martyred) soldier Sepoy Abdul Qadeer to CMH [Combined Military Hospital] Skardu,” said the military’s media wing, the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), in a statement on Saturday.

The martyred officers and soldiers are identified as:

  1. Pilot Maj M. Hussain
  2. Co-Pilot Maj Ayaz Hussain
  3. Naik Inzimam Alam
  4. Sep Muhammad Farooq

Earlier in April, A Pakistan Army Aviation trainer aircraft, Mushak, crashed near Gujrat during a routine training mission with both pilots martyred, said the ISPR.

“Major Umer (instructor pilot), resident of Gujrat, and Lieutenant Fiazan (student pilot) resident of Kalar Kahar, Chakwal embraced Shahadat.”
