U.S. Navy T-45 Goshawk Trainer Jet Crashes In Orange Grove

U.S. Navy McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk Crashed during a training flight 3 miles northeast of Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Orange Grove (NOG/KNOG), Orange Groove, Texas, both pilots ejected safely.

It happened around 2 p.m. when the jet crashed into some ranch lands about three miles from the Naval Outlying Field in Orange Grove, according to a spokesperson with NAS-Corpus Christi.

Thankfully, the instructor and the student were able to eject from the plane before it caught fire and crashed, according to NAS-CC. The two have been taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Navy and local emergency services responded to the scene and extinguished a small brush fire. Navy personnel are on scene and are cooperating with local authorities. The incident is under investigation.
