Uruguayan Air Force Cessna A-37B Dragonfly suffered a tire blowout during landing

During a series of touch and goes of a training flight, the A-37B FAU 279 suffered the puncture of its left landing gear veering off the runway of “Tte. 2º M. Walter Parallada” AFB (SUDU/DSO), not causing any injuries to its two pilots on board.

The Dragonfly belongs to Escuadrón Aéreo n.º2 (Caza).

At 13:42 pm today, at the Air Base “Tte. 2nd M. Walter Parallada “(Santa Bernardina, Durazno), the aircraft Cessna A-37B” Dragonfly “registration FAU 279 belonging to the Air Squadron No. 2 (Hunt), suffered a tire blowout from the left wheel of the landing gear, while performing training landings.

The incident occurred without causing injuries to its two crew members and the causes of the same are being investigated by the CIADA (Investigation Commission of Accidents and Incidents of Aviation)
