India seeks of 110 aircraft under Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) contract. Ministry of Defence, India has floated ‘Request for Information for 110 aircraft under Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) contract.

75 per cent of the aircraft have to be single-seater while the remaining will be double seaters. 15 per cent of the aircraft will be bought in flyaway condition while the remaining shall be manufactured in India under technology transfer. Both single-engine and double engine aircraft will be vying for the contract.

The USA has an F-18E/F Super Hornet on the table.

This is MMRCA 2.0. Earlier in MMRCA 1.0, India bought 36 Rafales in government to government deal to ensure early delivery.
