All the new weapons & technologies of the UK’s military in the future

Here are All the new weapons and technologies of the UK’s military in the future.

The Royal Navy has unveiled a series of futuristic submarine concepts which mimic real marine lifeforms and radically change the way underwater warfare could look in 50 years. With a crewed mothership shaped like a manta ray, unmanned eel-like vessels equipped with sensor pods which dissolve on demand to avoid enemy detection, and fish-shaped torpedoes sent to swarm against enemy targets, these concepts aim to inspire the world’s future underwater combat environment.

The whale shark/manta ray-shaped mothership would be built from super-strong alloys and acrylics, with surfaces which can morph in shape. With hybrid algae-electric cruising power and propulsion technologies including tunnel drives which work similarly to a Dyson bladeless fan, the submarine could travel at unprecedented speeds of up to 150 knots.

2) Tempest: UK Sixth-generation fighter jet

on JULY 16, 2018. Britain’s Defense Minister Gavin Williamson unveiled a model of the country’s proposed new fighter jet named Tempest at the Farnborough Airshow on Monday, and said it would seek international partners to help develop the project. The government said 2 billion pounds ($2.7 billion) had been earmarked to finance the project out to 2025 and that additional funding would be provided by its industrial partners on the project.

The Aircraft will eventually replace the existing Typhoon fighter jet. It will be developed and built by BAE Systems, engine maker Rolls-Royce, Italy’s Leonardo and missiles expert MBDA. The hope is to see it flying by 2035.

3) ‘Dragonfire’ laser weapon System

MBDA Systems, the missile maker that is jointly owned by three Europe-headquartered defense companies, has unveiled the design for its “Dragonfire” laser weapon for the first time.

Known officially as the Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) Capability Demonstrator Programme (CDP), the development effort should provide the MOD with a new “very short-range” air defense capability, the ability to counter-attack hostile unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and protection for allies from mortar and artillery attacks.

4) UK’s Next-generation stealth hypersonic-missile

As the US, Russia and China continued to develop Hypersonic-missile, UK and French also developing a Next-generation Stealth hypersonic-missile that could beat new Avangard hypersonic-missile.

5) Royal navy type 31e super frigate

The Type 31 frigate, also known as the Type 31e frigate or General Purpose Frigate (GPFF), is a planned class of frigate for the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy intended to enter service in the 2020s alongside the more capable Type 26 frigate.

It is intended that the Type 31 frigate will replace some of the Type 23 frigates. The Type 31 is part of the government’s “National Shipbuilding Strategy”.

6) Royal navy type 26 super frigate

The Type 26 frigate or City-class frigate is a class of frigate being built for the United Kingdom’s Royal Navy. The ship design and manufacture program, known as the Global Combat Ship, was created by the UK Ministry of Defence to partially replace the navy’s thirteen Type 23 frigates, and for export.[20] It will be a multi-mission warship designed to support anti-submarine warfare, air defence and general purpose operations
