A Mi 24 helicopter crashed at 9:45 during take-off at the GATL at Abidjan airport. Only the pilot and the co-pilot were on board.

They received minor injuries. No loss of life has been reported.

It was at 9:45 am this Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the GATL that the crash of a military helicopter took off. Our sources do not inform us about the reasons which caused this crash after the takeoff of the helicopter, they do however information about the number of people on board the aircraft.

“Only the pilot and the co-pilot were on board. They had minor injuries. No loss of human life has been observed, ”informs our source. The measures to contain the accident were taken with the intervention of the Air Force and the airport firefighters, specifies, our source.

An investigation is announced to elucidate the reasons for this accident, four months after the collision on November 27, 2019 in Katiola between a helicopter and another aircraft already grounded, during the state visit of President Alassane Ouattara.
