Piper PA-18 Super Cub crashed near Cimadolmo, Treviso, 2 DEAD

A Piper PA-18 Super Cub crashed near Cimadolmo, Treviso, Italy. The light plane struck some electric power lines and crashed. Both occupants died in the crash.

Two people have died falling down with a small tourist plane, which after having cut a medium voltage cable has set on fire, ending up uncontrolled on the ground.

The incident occurred in the evening in the Treviso area, on the skies of Cimadolmo. The aircraft, a ‘PA 18’, crashed on the riverbed of the Piave river.

The first to arrive at the scene of the disaster were the firefighters, arrived with personnel from Conegliano and with a helicopter ‘Drago 71’.

The firemen have extinguished the fire, but for the two occupants of the plane, there was nothing to do. They remained carbonized among the remains of the aircraft.

Their identities are not known yet. On the accident site also the sanitary ones of 118 and the carabinieri.
