Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy Aircraft Crashes In India Killing Two Trainee Pilot

Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy Cessna crashed under unknown circumstances. Both trainee pilots died in the crash.

The accident occurred in the afternoon when aircraft crashed during a training sortie in the cotton fields at Sultanpur village, about 100 km from Hyderabad.

The pilots, identified as Prakash Vishal and Amanpreet Kaur. The identity of Prakash Vishal, was confirmed through an ID card from the crash site.

The aircraft had taken off from Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad and was on a training sortie. Pilots apparently
lost control due to rain and high speed winds after their engine failed. The flight was in the air for 45 minutes before the mishap happened.

Police rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area. Officials of the Aviation Academy also rushed to the accident site. Vikarabad polic removed the bodies from they wreckage.

The pilots tried to land the flight safely for 10 minutes but failed to do so.

The site of the accident has been cordoned off. The incident came just two days after a trainer aircraft crashed at a flying academy in Maharashtra’s Shirpur on Friday.
