Two Steen Aero Lab Skybolt aerobatic aircraft collided midair during a training session. One pilot died, another was seriously injured.

The aircraft involved were D-EHHH and N5769.

Two small airplanes collided in the air on Saturday, at Fratatutii Vechi, Suceava County, during some training flights, and then collapsed outside the runway. One of the pilots died and the other was unconscious, according to representatives of ISU Suceava.

In this case, the Police opened an investigation for the murder of bodily injury and bodily injury, the investigations being pursued by prosecutors from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Suceava Court of Appeal. The aeronautical authorities will carry out expertise.

According to ISU spokesman Suceava, Alin Galeata, during some training flights, two small airplanes collided in the air, one of the pilots being in a serious, unconscious state.

“The unconscious pilot was declared dead. The other pilot was taken out of the plane and stabilized by the medical crews. The SMURD helicopter was requested to transport the pilot to UPU Iaşi, “IGSU submitted.

The accident occurred near the Old Frattudes airfield, and the two small airplanes collided in the air, collapsing off the runway.

There were no other people who were in danger, the accident occurred during a training flight.

The accident would have taken place before an aviation demonstration.
